Central JROTC cadets returned from competition in the Gulf with several awards. The cadets competed in the Gulfport High School Marine Corps Drill Competition in Gulfport, Mississippi and won 1st Place in the Color Guard competition, 1st Place in the Armed Regulation Drill competition, 1st Place in the Armed Regulation Inspection competition, 2nd Place in the UnArmed Regulation Inspection competition. In addition, the individual knockout competition ended with Central cadets winning 1st, 2nd, & 3rd consecutively; Cadet Colis Smith won the 1st place award, Percy Franklin won the 2nd Place award, and Matthew Gittens won the 3rd Place award with over 75 cadets competing in the knockout competition.
